2018-08-31 Thread superlex
>> Do you also have to re-run mkswap when switching back to the older,
working kernel, or does simply using the other kernel let you run swapon
on the same file that doesn't work with the newer kernel?

Nope, same swap file / swap partition, without have to re-run mkswap.

>> Also what does getconf PAGESIZE say under the broken kernel?

Both kernel say 4096 .

[Bug 1788321] [NEW] swapon failed: invalid argument

2018-08-21 Thread superlex
Public bug reported:

Environment:
 - Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS
 - Linux 4.15.0-32-generic i686

Description:
When I try to mount my swap partition or my swap file, I get "swapon failed:
invalid argument" .

Steps to reproduce:
1) sudo bash
2) dd if=/dev/zero of=/swapfile bs=1024 count=524288
3) mkswap /swapfile
4) chown root:root /swapfile
5) chmod 0600 /swapfile
6) swapon /swapfile
Last execution returns "swapon failed: invalid argument" .

I'm almost sure it's a bug because I have no problems using Linux
4.15.0-29-generic instead of Linux 4.15.0-32-generic. Also, no problems
using Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS Live CD.

Regards.

@Maik
Could you explain me?
Now with the last bzr libdbusmenu-qt patch is no more needed?

@Willem
You need libdbusmenu-qt source, then in source dir

patch -Np1 -i ./patch_name.patch

There are many different ways.
You could also edit src/dbusmenuimporter.cpp by hand adding string with "+" and
removing strings with "-"

[Bug 967091] Re: Wrong tint in flash when it uses video acceleration

2012-05-24 Thread superlex
Hi.
I'm using Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202 on Firefox 12, without /etc/adobe/mms.cfg
and with Hardware Acceleration enabled. If I watch a video on Youtube the
people are blue, but if I watch the same video on Facebook (e.g. sharing it)
the people aren't blue. So, is the problem Youtube site and not Youtube videos
(note: it works also at 1080p)?

[Bug 365321] Re: iwlagn - Wireless network disconnects and won't reconnect without reboot

2010-02-20 Thread superlex
I'm using now ubuntu karmic with kernel-2.6.32-13, and problem persists. I also
adds that the wireless disconnets when I am downloading many files.
Furthermore, sometimes it does not block, but PC freezes and the only solution
is reset.

[Bug 460290] Re: Ricoh webcam driver missing 05ca:183a

2009-11-28 Thread superlex
I will ask the author of the repository to upload the package that I have
previously linked; otherwise, I'll upload it myself.
About Lucid, I hope that the author of the driver update it, but I found that
interesting developments are being made about the uvcvideo module for the
support of our webcams.

Hi!
You can find driver you need here:
http://www.palmix.org/download/r5u870_k2.6.30_i386.tar.bz2

Then, there is this repository:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~intuitivenipple/+archive/ppa
but it yet to be updated to Karmic
