[Bug 1001470] [NEW] delete me
Public bug reported: Please disregard this report at this time, I have some more testing to do before I can tell if it's ubuntu issue or the VPN server I'm trying to connect to. ** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Description changed: - I am using 12.04 and have tried to connect to a VPN connection via nm- - applet which has worked in the past. The connection completes, but it - appears DNS resolution fails if I am on a wireless connection. I am able - to ping IPs only unless I select Automatic (addresses only) in the VPN - configuration and enter the DNS addresses manually. After adding them - manually I can resolve hostnames without issue via wired or wireless - connection. - - I am using the current versions of network-manager, openvpn, and - network-manager-openvpn-gnome which are in the Precise repos. My - wireless card is as follows, but I have confirmed the same issue w/ - another user who has different hardware: - - 04:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 5100 AGN - [Shiloh] Network Connection - - - Please let me know if you need logs, or to try work-arounds. + Please disregard this report at this time, I have some more testing to + do before I can tell if it's ubuntu issue or the VPN server I'm trying + to connect to. ** Summary changed: - VPN Connection - DNS fails over wireless, but works fine on wired connection + delete me -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1001470 Title: delete me To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1001470/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 595896] Re: Thinkpad SL510 Mute button not working

[Bug 595896] Re: Thinkpad SL510 Mute button not working
I am using an SL510 and unfortunately your mod isn't working for me. I downloaded your changes, followed your instructions, copied the new module, rebooted, and the actions are just the same as before. After rebooting, mute does not work on either headphones or speakers. After rmmod thinkpad_acpi mute functionality and LED works on speakers only. After modprobe thinkpad_acpi enable=0 mute and LED work on speakers, but again not headphones. At this point lsmod shows thinkpad_acpi as being loaded. Please let me know if I can attach any files or logs to help this progress further. I would really like to see this issue resolved :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/595896 Title: Thinkpad SL510 Mute button not working -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 178075] Re: [needs-packaging] icecat
I highly support Icecat becoming the default browser for Ubuntu. For those who wish to use it now, The Gnuzilla Team maintains a repository for Icecat here: https://edge.launchpad.net/~gnuzilla-team/+archive/ppa For more info on Icecat, and a nice guide for installing the repository check out the Icecat wiki page here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/IceCat -- [needs-packaging] icecat https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/178075 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 498852] [NEW] [Needs-Packaging] OpenFWWF Firmware
Public bug reported: OpenFWWF is open firmware for some Broadcom wireless cards. It is a free (as in speech) alternative to the proprietary drivers that are currently available. The Broadcom cards are pretty common, so this free alternative would be very welcomed in the Ubuntu community. [Bug 495346] [NEW] Terminal-Bell Volume Level Very Low
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio After upgrading to Lucid last night, my terminal-bell has been nearly inaudible. I have used alsamixer to make sure all sounds levels were high. Other system sounds, music, etc. played at a normal level. Also, when changing the 'alert sound' in SystemPreferencesSound to a different sound, the terminal-bell still plays the default sound. [Bug 444395] Re: 9.10 beta fails to boot into LiveCD (flashing text)
Hello Tomas, and thank you for taking the time to report this bug. Can you tell us what the flashing text indicated? Also, are you sure you have the correct architecture for both your computers (i.e. x86 vs. amd64)? If you try booting a liveCD for the wrong arch. you may encounter many different errors while booting. -- 9.10 beta fails to boot into LiveCD (flashing text) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444395 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 446305] Re: missing from panel
Hello las, and thank you for reporting this bug. Did you by chance upgrade from 9.04? I have a feeling this may be an issue of your settings from 9.04 carrying over into 9.10, but are unable to be changed. I just tested this issue, and it does not effect me. I did a clean install of 9.10 beta. If you did an upgrade, can you also try adding other applets to your panel that you didn't use at all in 9.04, and verify if it's only indicator-session that is the only one that does not show up, or if it's all applets that have this effect after reboot. -- missing from panel https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446305 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 421095] Re: Karmic BCM4311 doesn't work with Broadcom B43 wireless driver and Driver Broadcom STA
I do not have this issue. I did a fresh install of Karmic Beta on my laptop which has a BCM4311, and the STA, b43, and openFWWF drivers all work fine without any issues that I've come across. I have connected to WPA and unencrypted networks without issue. -- Karmic BCM4311 doesn't work with Broadcom B43 wireless driver and Driver Broadcom STA https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/421095 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
