2024-09-03 Thread syldeb35
Good day,

No, it is not related to an extension. Even with all extensions disable, I have
the syslog flooded with this bug:
(All extensions disabled, changing with Ctrl Alt Arrow).

Object .Gjs_ui_workspaceAnimation_MonitorGroup (0x5780a5299930), has been
already disposed — impossible to access it. This might be caused by the object
having been destroyed from C code using something such as destroy(), dispose(),
or remove() vfuncs.

It happens whatever the method used to change the workspace.

If I disconnect HDMI monitor, there is no more these errors.

Thanks

[Bug 931367] [NEW] Unable to connect a gsm modem

2012-02-13 Thread syldeb35
Public bug reported:

While connecting a GSM modem, it isn't reconize.
The usb_modswitch works, and no further action is performed as per syslog.

To be able to use it, it needs further command line actions:

1/ sudo modprobe option

2/ sudo chmod 0666 /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id

3/ echo "1c9e 6061" > /sys/bus/usb-serial/drivers/option1/new_id

these actions are needed first connection after reboot. If the modem is
disconnected and reconnected it works well.

[Bug 750014] Re: bluetooth doesn't turn on 11.04

2011-04-20 Thread syldeb35
Here is the bluetooth device I use:
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0930:0508 Toshiba Corp. Integrated Bluetooth HCI

I had installed the 2.6.39 kernel from
http://ppa.launchpad.net/kernel-ppa/ppa/ubuntu
and the bluetooth works again. It also works with the 2.6.37 kernel so, I'm not
sure it's related to the gnome-bluetooth.

You will also find the result of lsusb -vv in attached

thanks.

[Bug 533224] Re: fan speed issue in 195.36.08 and 195.36.03 (may potentially destroy the GPU)

2010-03-17 Thread syldeb35
No the driver available in Lucid repositories is still the 195.36.08. As soon
as the packages will be updated to 195.36.15 available here:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=148947 , this bug report
should be marked as fixed but not now.
I think Ubuntu can't release a LTS with a bug like this. (Easy to fix now).
Nouveau is an alternative for some users but as it doesn't support 3D
acceleration, for a lot of users it's not a good alternative.

[Bug 533224] Re: fan speed issue in 195.36.08 and 195.36.03

2010-03-06 Thread syldeb35
>From http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/announcement.php?f=14 :

After posting the 196.75 NVIDIA Windows graphics driver, NVIDIA reported
the following message:

Quote:
We are aware that some customers have reported fan speed issues with
the latest 196.75 WHQL drivers on NVIDIA.com. Until we can verify and
root cause this issue, we recommend that customers stay with, or return
to 196.21 WHQL drivers. Release 196.75 drivers have been temporarily
removed from our website.
/Quote

We believe recent NVIDIA UNIX graphics drivers, 195.36.08 and 195.36.03,
are also affected by this. Until the problem is resolved, we recommend
that UNIX users revert to the 190.53 web release or the 195.30 public
beta.

We are in the process of removing 195.36.08 and 195.36.03 from NVIDIA's
FTP site.

We will post more information as it is available.

Public bug reported:

In http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html we can read:

“We believe recent NVIDIA UNIX graphics drivers are affected by a recently
reported fan speed issue in 195.36.08 and 195.36.03.
Until the problem is resolved, we recommend that UNIX users revert to the
190.53 web release, or the 195.30 public beta.”

[Bug 331571] Re: disable Mail Notification eplugin by default

2009-02-19 Thread syldeb35
Well noted for the duplicate.
However, the new plug-in didn't notice if the new mail is not in Inbox. (Auto
sorted mails)
output in the .xsession-errors:
** (evolution:9806): DEBUG: Not inbox
and no config options.

[Bug 328763] Re: [jaunty] Crash during test-suspend first step

2009-02-16 Thread syldeb35
Hi,
The machine is an Acer Aspire 9805WKHi
the problem is when it come back from suspend. I see the HDD led blinking for 2
sec. then, nothing else. The keyboard did not response and the screen remain
black...
The suspend never work before. I just try with 7.04 live CD and the response
was "can not enter suspend..."
With kernel 2.6.27-11-generic: same result
when running pm-suspend same thing append.
I also try with driver "nv" in xorg.conf: same result.
