[Bug 138794] Re: Error getting killswitch power arguments: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs - Argument 0 is specified to be of type uint32, but is actually of type int32
I'm getting this same error after following the instructions here: bug #131835. -- Error getting killswitch power arguments: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs - Argument 0 is specified to be of type uint32, but is actually of type int32 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/138794 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 131835] Re: dellWirelessCtl needed for Dell machines
I also tried this workaround in Gutsy (Tribe 5) and am now getting the error seen in this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /network-manager/+bug/138794 NetworkManager: info Error getting killswitch power arguments: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.InvalidArgs - Argument 0 is specified to be of type uint32, but is actually of type int32 -- dellWirelessCtl needed for Dell machines https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131835 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Boy do I feel thick-headed :) I was so caught up in the synaptics driver I didn't even bother to look there. Thanks aplenty, problem solved! -TD On 9/18/07, nick wrote: tduermeier wrote: The latest update did fix my problem for gnome-settings-daemon, but now even though I have reinstalled the xorg driver my scrolling function is totally lost from my touchpad. I have gsynaptics and libsynaptics0 installed and have enabled horizontal and vertical scrolling, but no difference. I made sure to add Option SHMConfig On to my xorg.conf, but still no results. I just tried reinstalling the xorg driver, but that also did not work. If anyone has any tips regarding getting the scroll functionality back after removing the xorg driver I would very much appreciate it. [Bug 140485] Re: gnome-settings-daemon not starting with 1:2.19.92-0ubuntu3
I ran into this same problem this morning when I updated my synaptics driver. I'm running on Gutsy on a Dell inspiron e1405. Uninstalling the xserver-xorg-input-synaptics causes gnome-settings-daemon to run just fine. I have never reported a bug before so I'm not sure if I need to give any more information other than pointing out that this does indeed occur. gnome-settings-daemon was running perfectly before updating this morning. Let me know if I need to post any additional information to confirm this bug. -- gnome-settings-daemon not starting with 1:2.19.92-0ubuntu3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/140485 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
