2006-09-19 Thread tenshu
According to Oscar RT61 still don't work untill you go and compile the
drivers from ralink site.

I didn't try dapper in "Live cd mode" but i just try edgy Knot3 and this time
it get worse my RT61 wifi card isn't recognized properly.
I get an wlan0 & wlanmaster interface and nothing comes out when i do "iwlist
scan" like Bruce Mille described.

I will attach a dmesg and oops ASAP for you Ben Collins

[Bug 63076] Edgy - RT61 detection regression

2006-09-29 Thread tenshu
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17

While under Dapper the RT61 where bind to ra0 interface
Under Edgy shows 2 interface (wlanmaster & wlan0)

None of them is able to detect a wireless network when using "iwlist
scan"

I tried to do the same than in dapper : compiling the official drivers to get
it working.
But i failed

I also tried the latest CVS of the rt61 drivers from the serialmonkey project.
I was able to compile and load the module, the ra0 interface i get can scan
ssid but crash when you try to use it.

[Bug 42691] Re: Attaching a PSP causes RythmBox to launch (Dapper Beta)

2006-12-01 Thread tenshu
why did you set it to unconfirm Sebastien?

I said i can confirm this, when you attach a psp rythmbox is starting up.
This is not very useful because psp isn't an ipod.

Could someone point me where i can change this behavior without
disabling rythmbox launching for my mp3 player?

[Bug 58117] Re: rt61pci can't scan or associate

2006-10-29 Thread tenshu
instead of the rt61 from serialmonkey you could install the official drivers
from ralink (yes they are free).
It is nicely describe in the ubuntu.com wiki.

[Bug 60142] Re: in dapper, when performing "apt-get update" i get an error message

2006-09-12 Thread tenshu
you could try to remove the "us" in the URL of the repos which give you
errors

just to see if the probleme come from you or from the repo
