[Bug 1197869] Re: [Lenovo Thinkpad T430u] randomly locks up/freezes
I've confirmed that the bug is still an issue with the latest (2.08) version of the BIOS, under 12.04 (LTS). It would certainly be good to backport a fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1197869 Title: [Lenovo Thinkpad T430u] randomly locks up/freezes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1197869/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 492034] Re: [STAGING] realtek rtl8192su chipset based USB wireless devices fail to work
I can reproduce in Lucid amd64. I'm using the mvix solido which uses the 8192SU driver (although it has the 8191 chip) I'm running the 2.6.34-rc6 kernel. When I copied the firmware directory as indicated above, the firmware downloaded and the wireless device began to work (sort of. [Bug 210572] [NEW] No sound in wine under amd_64
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wine by default wine can't output sound, since it does not have native pulseaudio drivers. [Bug 187547] Re: nautilus eat memory, locks desktop
I can confirm this bug, Its rather crippling...it can be reproduced by opening a nautilus window and changing directory by double clicking a folder. The hang also occurs sporadically when there is an open nautilus window. When the hang occurs, it takes ~14 seconds to eat through my 4 Gb of ram, after which my computer becomes increasingly unresponsive. I attached gdb to nautilus by the command: gdb nautilus 7779 The only interesting message was: 0xe410 in ?? () from /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 which occured before I induced the hang in nautilus then obtained a backtrace after inducing the error. sadly, the backtrace is identical to a backtrace performed when nautilus is not failing: (gdb) bt #0 0xe410 in ?? You are correct. The problem only occurs when the directory being changed to contains an SVG. In my case, my home directory contained the SVG. backtrace attached. blarg, it looks like it was simply a malformed SVG in my case...no problems with other SVGs, and evince and inkscape both display the same behavior when opening the SVG in question. [Bug 180008] Re: libflashsupport useless on amd64
Does this mean that the patch is unnecessary, and all we need is libpcap in lib32? I went ahead and reinstalled the version in the repos, and still have sound in flash (with the manually installed libpcap) so I think the answer is yes, unless the patched version has been packaged recently. -- libflashsupport useless on amd64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 180008] Re: libflashsupport useless on amd64
The fix in the link no longer works. Installing it causes flash to be extremely unstable (it crashes after 5-10 seconds of video playback) and does not fix the sound problem. I'm running the most recent version of hardy. I suggest an increase in severity, since this should is a problem in the default install of the 64 bit version that is extremely annoying to the average user. -- libflashsupport useless on amd64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/180008 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
