Every time I install using apt I get the error message and send report to the devs. I have not experienced any ui bugs when the error comes up so its probably some back-end thing that doesnt effect the gui. Well after a good long time of just dealing with the problem waiting for the answer to slip through some crack in the knowledge base I just reinstalled my OS partition without editing /home. booted into the newly installed os and used fstab linked my /home partition back up with the root fliesystem.
