[Bug 48792] Re: freezes pc when launched
Same bug for me. I tried to use cpufreqd insetead of powernowd, but the same things happens (works ok for a while and then crash the system). Any version newer than 2.6.20 including 2.6.23 fails with same error. I tried Mandriva 2008, Gentoo 2007.0 and fails equaly. [Bug 158832] Kubuntu/Ubuntu Gutsy LiveCD crash while booting
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.22-14-generic I got a MSI MegaBook 670 laptop. When i tried Kubuntu/Ubuntu Gutsy LiveCD it crashes the system (totally crash, I even can't switch betwen consoles). In feisty al the system works fine, this problem it just happens in gutsy. I intalled ubuntu feisty, and I did make an upgrade to 2.6.22-14-generic kernel from gutsy repositories,(only linux-image and ubuntu-modules*). As my system totally chashes i cannot put the required KernelTeamBugPolicies outputs (lspci, dmesg,etc). Tip: when I stat the livecd with acpi=off option enabled, the system starts correctly.
