[Bug 1586528] Re: Avahi-daemon withdraws address record
Are you guys sure it isn't Avahi? It was still happening to me after stopping the network manager service. Is it not the incompatibility mentioned in the Arch docs? https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Avahi My ip and dns finally stopped changing when I disabled Avahi. Also happened to this guy: https://jrs-s.net/2015/01/09/avahi-killed-my- server/ I have a similar bridge setup to his. Maybe my case (and that guy's) is a different bug/issue though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1586528 Title: Avahi-daemon withdraws address record To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/avahi/+bug/1586528/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1606012] Re: [0ac8:c002] Z-Star Camera VGP-VCC1 (Vaio VGN-FE21H)
Some parameters around the bug may have changed, but the main issue is the same, same webcam, same garbled green output with some strips of correct video, e.g. the very top. I actually do have a /dev/video0 though. Initially I just get a black screen as output that seems non- functional (e.g. cheese fails to get a black screen photo, but I manage to get the green if I preload compat and cheese will take captures of the garbled output: LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libv4l/v4l1compat.so cheese I am attaching a screenshot. The green can vary quite a bit, sometimes more pink, etc... Not entirely random, but clearly garbled. [Bug 1072518] Re: Restarting network crashes (apparently) the desktop manager
I'm interested to know where Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre (mathieu-tl) and Sebastien Bacher (seb128) get their information. If that is the case that it brings down dbus (and is supposed to bring down dbus), then I should see my desktop crash whenever I run this command on whatever machine I run it on? That is not what is happenning though, it occurs on only one particular computer of mine. Also, if this were the case, then why would running this command be recommnded in thousands of places, often as a final step after making changes to your web stack. Restarting any service shouldn't screw over your system, and I mean absolutely any service. If restarting it does that, then it shouldn't have a restart option, should have to manually kill it. If it needs to bring down dbus, then it should also bring it up again, in a smooth problem free way. Anyway, if the two of them are right and the command shouldn't be run, then this is probably one of the largest disconnects I've ever seen between the people that wrote a program and the people that make use of it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072518 Title: Restarting network crashes (apparently) the desktop manager To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1072518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 778195] Re: mozplugger/firefox does not open documents/apps within browser
I can also confirm this behaviour in Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS. The document always opens, but it seems entirely random whether it will open within the browser or in its own window. I haven't been using mozplugger long enough to say the frequency of each, or if there is anything else associated with the behaviour, I'll post again if I notice anything that seems to trigger one behaviour over another. I am not running the Unity plugin (unchecked it in CCSM). If someone ever gets assigned to this I can gather any system info they think would help (just let me know how it it's something exotic to the everyday user). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778195 Title: mozplugger/firefox does not open documents/apps within browser To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mozplugger/+bug/778195/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1007236] Re: Realtek RTL8111/8168B wired network interface goes up and down at random
Hmm, the problem seems to have been transient for me. It persisted through several reboots, I also rebooted into windows and into the older 17 (as opposed to the current 24) kernel. The connection worked in both of those, this morning I booted again back to the 24 kernel, and it seems to have magically started working again. Also the trouble I was having may have been different, I have no signs of my router restarting, and no suspect messages in dmesg. I did also have other wired connections on the router at the same time these problems were happening, so I'm still convinced there was some sort of problem, but I'm stumped as to what it might have been if not a recent update... but it fixed itself... I'll post again if the problem reoccurs. I've now marked myself as unaffected by the bug for now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1007236 Title: Realtek RTL8111/8168B wired network interface goes up and down at random To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1007236/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1007236] Re: Realtek RTL8111/8168B wired network interface goes up and down at random
I can confirm this for the 64 bit kernel as well. If I drop back and use the kernel 3.2.0-17 I do not have the problem. In my case the lights do not blink as described here. On my system the lights on the interface do not light up at all, and the light for the connection on my Microsoft MN-500 router blinks green slowly, roughly a 1 second duration blink every 3 or 4 seconds. I didn't notice anything in dmesg, but I had only looked right after booting up, I haven't had the time to delve into this in detail, I can later though if anyone needs more information than the original poster provided.
[Bug 566381] Re: Lag when using module-loopback
Network traffic just for audio shouldn't really be a problem, even really high quality audio is typically 1MB a second. I'm pretty sure your typical network card should handle that just fine, I mean we've done likewise with video on our home network without a problem, high quality mkvs at that. So I feel like it is some problem in the implementation of routing it back, or this might all be related to jackd? I don't really know anything about it though, so I could be entirely wrong. -- Lag when using module-loopback https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/566381 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 566381] Re: Lag when using module-loopback
Same problem here, worked fine back in 9.10, also if you install the other packages (paprefs) and go to SystemPreferencesPulseAudio Preferences and then to the Multicast/RTP tab and enable both the sender and receiver, then check loop audio to local speakers then the audio is not delayed, but is very choppy, chops incessantly, I don't know if this is related to the delay problem using the loopback module, so it might work as a workaround for some people, but is not for me. Audacity offers a playthrough option that works perfectly for me, no delay, no choppiness, except that I have to be recording in order to use it. Hopefully this problem is fixed soon, I can run any commands anyone provides to gather more data on the problem. -- Lag when using module-loopback https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/566381 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
