[Bug 399016] [NEW] kanjisaver does not appear as a screen saver in KDE4.2
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kanjisaver I installed kanjisaver from the Jaunty repository but it does not appear in the KDE screen saver settings dialog. The executable kanjisaver.kss is functional and correctly installed in /usr/bin. The package used to work in KDE3.5 Kubuntu 9.04 kanjisaver 0.9.10-1ubuntu1 ** Affects: kanjisaver (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kanjisaver does not appear as a screen saver in KDE4.2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399016 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 280762] Re: knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I have configured.
Edit to above: the solution was only temporary. I noticed that both knetworkmanager and plasma-widget-network-manager were installed, removing knetworkmanager solved the issue. -- knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I have configured. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/280762 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 280762] Re: knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I have configured.
Frank's suggestion worked for me. I don't have a static IP, using just DHCP. Still after a recent update in Jaunty NetworkManager couldn't establish system connection, nothing worked, couldn't even access local modem. [Bug 208718] Re: nvidia-glx-new driver displays white screen of death
I don't know if this is relevant but I get the white screen of death if I use 3D desktop effects and xserver-xgl is installed. This is true even with the latest beta drivers (173.08). Apparently xserver-xgl prevents direct rendering: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xgl/+question/27148 I'm running Kubuntu 8.04 on Shuttle SP35P2 with GeForce 8600 GT. -- nvidia-glx-new driver displays white screen of death https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/208718 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
