I tested v3.4-rc5-precise. Drivers from Nvidia for it do not want to
compile. Without them, I have big problems with the video.

[Bug 881443] Re: No wifi after suspend

2012-05-04 Thread vasdi
Following advice from the site http://www.techytalk.info/ubuntu-fix-
network-stopped-working-after-resume-from-sleep/, I created the file
/etc/pm/config.d/unload_modules with the following contents:

SUSPEND_MODULES = "$SUSPEND_MODULES r8712u"

This solved the problem.

[Bug 881443] Re: No wifi after suspend

2012-04-28 Thread vasdi
Lubuntu 12.04
Linux dex 3.2.0-24-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 25 08:43:22 UTC 2012 x86_64
x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The bug is still there. apport-collect seems not to work, it cat not find
packages for 'linux'.
This bug has become worse. Now reintegration does not help. If the device is
reinserted after sleep, then the system hangs when trying to run any
application.

[Bug 363293] [NEW] "Overscaled" desktop icons behave strange

2009-04-18 Thread vasdi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

Ubuntu 9.04 [AMD64]
Gnome 2.26.1
Nautilus 2.26.2

When I resizing an icon on the Gnome desktop (Nautilus?) there is a
limit of how big it can become. When I trying to resize an icon over the
limit and then scale it down it starting to resize only after a delay.
And when "overscaled" some more the icon starts to move nonlinearly
instead of resizing.

[Bug 322936] [NEW] File-roller can't just archive symlinks to folders

2009-01-29 Thread vasdi
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: file-roller

When I tring to add symlinks to folders to my archive File-roller
includes that folders to the archive and as far as I can see there is no
way to just archive symlinks. And if symlinks are recursive Fileroller
makes archives with recursive folders and then complains while unpacking
("Not a folder" many times).
