[Bug 319107] Re: Jabber whiteboard doesn't work
I am sorry, that you can't share your drawings in a live session as expected. The whiteboard functionality is to my knowlege still quite undeveloped and not considered stable enough for real use. Because of this, we call it still beta and to my knowlege it is not enabled by default. If you know someone who can invest some hours coding time on this whiteboard, please get in touch with one of the leading developers of inkscape. [Bug 138335] Re: [gutsy] [beta] xubuntu panel pager missing
I have tried it. I passed -- break=init to the kernel and came in a shell, but in this shell i could not edit /etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc because at this time it doesn't exist. Only when i already booted into the system, i can go there and edit it, but then it makes no sense anymore. I have seen, that the panel must be loaded, but it does not load completly, because the icons on it(firefox, Apllications, places) do not appear. It displays only the grey bars for about a second and then the blue background and the icons on the background appear( my harddisks, floppy, trash) and that's it. I searched around on the system a bit and found that this must be a xfce session. There is a file in the directory /etc/xdg/xfce4-session/xfce4-session.rc which might be the one with the error inside. I found a line withThunar, --daemon which i belive won't work as it is. Thank you for testing Xubuntu Gutsy! What does the command ifconfig and dmesg say? I know it is a live cd and therefore it may be very difficult for you to put this information here. I just want to know if ifconfig shows at least a device called eth0. Look if it is there. If it is not, then look what the command dmesg says in a terminal. Look for messages like this: [ 39.057016] eth0: RealTek RTL8139 at 0xd4858000, 00:50:ba:b4:81:68, IRQ 10 [ 39.057023] eth0: Identified 8139 chip type 'RTL-8139C' This means my network adaptor is found. [Bug 96210] Re: kpdf crashes when changing to full screen
I did test your pdf and one that was over 5 megabytes big. Still no crash here. Which version of Kpdf do you use? You can simply go to the konsole and issue the command: kpdf -v Then you get something like this: Qt: 3.3.7 KDE: 3.5.6 KPDF: 0.5.6 paste it here. Is the crash every time when you go to full screen with this pdf? If yes, can you attach a backtrace here please? After you made the backtrace, can you update kpdf and test again if the bug is still there?
