[Bug 1464917] Re: reboot hangs at 'Reached target Shutdown'
How is this resolved? I'm having same problem but with ubuntu15.10 with kernel 4.2. Reboot works fine but when I try shutting down, I get to the ubuntu purple splash screen with text saying reboot: powering down or something like that and it just freeze. I waited like 4 hours and it's stuck. I had to manually power it off by holding the power button on the laptop. Need help with this problem. :( -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1464917 Title: reboot hangs at 'Reached target Shutdown' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1464917/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 179042] Re: Videos tear and "blink" when enabling compiz [AMD Feature #7647]
Bryce, to me this bug seems to be a regression, as I have a working 7.10 partition with FGRLX and Compiz. Maybe going back to an older driver would work. I would be happy to test it if you let me know which driver you think is best and provide a link to a download or .deb file. -- Videos tear and "blink" when enabling compiz [AMD Feature #7647] https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/179042 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 283306] Re: Intrepid fails to configure X11 properly on Toshiba A215 w/ATI x1300
please give us back displayconfig-gtk. I do not have any desire to have to manually edit the xorg.conf file. If not displayconfig-gtk then some form of gui for selecting a graphics card, monitor, resolution, etc. The simple reality is that no matter how good hardware detection is on a PC there will *ALWAYS* be hardware that isn't detected. Thus a tool such as displayconfig-gtk quickly fixes problems like this one. -- Intrepid fails to configure X11 properly on Toshiba A215 w/ATI x1300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 283306] [NEW] Intrepid fails to configure X11 properly on Toshiba A215 w/ATI x1300
Public bug reported: On Ubuntu 8.10 Beta the install and x-fix recovery script fail to configure X11 on Toshiba A215 with an ATI x1300. After the initial boot I intalled mplayer and tried to play a video. Mplayer failed with a no screen found error. So I ran xvinfo and determined that I was not using accelerated drivers. So I checked the xorg.conf file and found it was basically empty. Then I rebooted into recovery mode and ran the X-Fix script. Still no configuration. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ati configure x11 x1300 -- Intrepid fails to configure X11 properly on Toshiba A215 w/ATI x1300 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/283306 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 209974] Re: Xubuntu Hardy live installer doesn't detect HDD partitions
I am having this problem as well. The disks partitions were setup with Ubuntu 8.04 gParted, so I am not quite certain how Xubuntu can not read the partitions. (I did notice a line in the syslog about the sd driver needing to be updating "Sep 17 00:23:07 ubuntu kernel: [ 78.961984] Driver 'sd' needs updating - please use bus_type methods" I don't know if this is a help.) I have booted Ubuntu 8.04 and it can see the partitions fine. I will attach my Ubuntu syslog and partlog after I try deleting the partition I was going to reinstall to and see if that is a work around. As mentioned several times fdisk can see the partitions fine.
