[Bug 743859] Re: Could not display "/tmp/test.ps" - The location is not a folder.

2011-04-27 Thread wooster
xdg-open is a shell script which calls various url handlers depending on
which desktop environment it detects (Gnome, KDE etc).

I suspect the problem is that you have
x-scheme-handler/file=x-scheme-handler/file=exo-file-manager.desktop
in your mime types config.
Probably in .$HOME/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list

This happens if you have used the xfce environment.

The system then executes exo-open --launch FileManager %u

Since %u is not a folder, you get the error message: "The location is
not a folder"

[Bug 523715] [NEW] Update-mananger replaces installed source packages with same version binary packages

2010-02-18 Thread wooster
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: update-manager

When a package is built from source and installed, update-manager by
default replaces the (presumably customized) package by the same version
binary package.

This is called a "distribution update".

An installed package should by default only be replaced by a more recent
version.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
Date: Thu Feb 18 10:41:18 2010
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10
Package: update-manager 1:0.126.9

ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-20.57-generic
SourcePackage: update-manager
Uname: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic i686

[Bug 328020] Re: cannot mount NetWare (ipx) server

2009-12-09 Thread wooster
Why not, until the problem is fixed, compile with an older version of
gcc (see above) and put working binaries in the repos?

[Bug 328020] Re: cannot mount NetWare (ipx) server

2009-11-02 Thread wooster

Tested ncpfs_2.2.6-6ubuntu1_i386.deb, libncp_2.2.6-6ubuntu1_i386.deb
Ubuntu 9.10 (karmic) i386.

If compiled with gcc-4.1, everything works fine, but with gcc-4.4 same
problem. (Invalid start: 1835008 0001 0001 0016)
