[Bug 186149] [NEW] nautilus - recursive copying does not work yet
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Try copying something into itself. For example, copy /home to your Desktop (which resides in /home). Nautilus then starts some infinite copying cycle, copying /home to /home/name/Desktop, /home/name/Desktop/home to /home/name/Desktop/home/name/Desktop/home, etc. etc. This was tested on a clean install and upgrade of Hardy on 25/1. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- nautilus - recursive copying does not work yet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/186149 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 90249] Re: logitech usb microphone doesn't work properly
For me the latest version of Feisty does not work with my newly bought Logitech USB Microphone. I can see the microphone with arecord -l. In VLC I can use /dev/audio2 as a capure device and then the microphone _DOES_ work. But it still doesn't work in Gnome (in for example the sound recorder). [Bug 90249] Re: logitech usb microphone doesn't work properly
Note that I also tried the .asound trick as described above. I set capture.pcm to 2:0 since that is my USB microphone according to asound/devices and asound/cards. ** Attachment added: asoundrc http://librarian.launchpad.net/7147050/asoundrc -- logitech usb microphone doesn't work properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/90249 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 60277] Re: Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one
Yes, bug is still around. When I go to the 'network' location in gnome, I see the 'Windows Network'. When I browse the network, workgroups sometimes appear as a blank icon and I can't access them. Same for computers inside workgroups. When pressing 'reload', network locations switch randomly between a blank icon and the correct icon. See: http://home.fmf.nl/~writser/ubuntu/asperge_good.png http://home.fmf.nl/~writser/ubuntu/asperge_wrong.png I have a DHCP-network at home. I installed Dapper and upgraded to the most recent Edgy. I have not accessed the 'shared folders' applet yet, nor have I edited my samba configuration. So, everything is configured as default. -- Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one https://launchpad.net/bugs/60277 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 60277] Re: Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one
To emphasize: even if I see the correct icon and refresh Nautilus, it sometimes is converted back to a blank icon (and I can't access the computer / workgroup anymore). -- Windows Network entries use a text icon instead of a computer one https://launchpad.net/bugs/60277 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 63403] Re: Semi-random ugly font rendering in Edgy (no font hinting)
On my computer, (1) was fixed after removing font.conf (3). I had both Gnome KDE installed before upgrading my distribution to Edgy. Perhaps this caused some problems? See: http://home.fmf.nl/~writser/ubuntu/uglyterminal.png http://home.fmf.nl/~writser/ubuntu/zoomedin.png for the way fonts looked in the terminal before fixing (3). -- Semi-random ugly font rendering in Edgy (no font hinting) https://launchpad.net/bugs/63403 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 63403] Re: Semi-random ugly font rendering in Edgy (no font hinting)
When using full hinting, all fonts are not blurred. medium hinting : some fonts blurred (like gnome terminal), most not (like nautilus) slight hinting or no hinting : all fonts blurred This is still true for me though. [Bug 22393] Re: Keyboard shortcuts don't work with Rhythmbox
I have to remove the keybinding AND restart X before I can use it again. What makes it even more annoying is that after assigning a shortcut like: CtrlAltN, the entire 'N' doesn't work anymore. [Bug 63551] Re: X.org doesn't detect widescreen resolution
I completely agree. I had to google up this article to get my 2005FPW working: http://www.wiredfool.com/2005/06/15/widescreenLcdsAndUbuntuLinux And had to manually add the following line to my xorg.conf: Modeline [EMAIL PROTECTED] 154.20 1680 1712 2296 2328 1050 1071 1081 1103 as well as changing all display modes. Seriously, how is any linux newbie supposed to figure this out? Widescreen LCD's are getting more and more common and need support from Ubuntu.
