[Bug 577114] Re: Wireless and Bluetooth switch does not work correctly on lenovo ideapad s10-3
I'm having this problem also. I just upgraded to 10.04 from 9.10 through System Update, i386 version on a Toshiba Satellite using an Atheros card. In my case, cutting wireless off manually does successfully work, but attempting to cut it back on from the switch fails. Additionally, using rfkill unblock doesn't work. 9.10 didn't have this issue for me, so I'd wager this is a 10.04 issue with the BIOS, if anything. Just my two cents. -- Wireless and Bluetooth switch does not work correctly on lenovo ideapad s10-3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577114 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 269215] Re: There is a problem with the configuration server. (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2 exited with status 256)
Update: that didn't quite do it. I got the secondary profile up and running perfectly, but the primary still gives the errors. I get to a terminal in the primary profile by waiting for a window to popup, asking me to update my encryption passphrase (which I never had before). It lets me run "ecryptfs-unwrap-passphrase" and opens a terminal for me. From there, I can only run "sudo gnome-panel", and I'm in the root profile. The system was updated from the secondary profile, and restarting the primary profile continues the usual error messages. What else to try? I have the same problem as buckwheat - I get the ICEauthority message, then the configuration server message, then a message that Nautilus couldn't load. Loads into a default desktop background with no panels. I ran sudo chmod a+rwx /tmp and nothing changed.
