[Bug 540134] Re: Screen backlight doesn't come on again after opening the lid
Can you add the boot option of "drm.debug=0x04" and do the following test? 1. get the output of "cat /proc/acpi/button/LID/*/state", dmesg, intel_reg_dumper before close the LID 2. close the LID 3. Open the LID 4. Please login the system by using ssh and get the output of " cat /proc/acpi/button/LID/*/state", dmesg, intel_reg_dumper again. [Bug 410455] Re: [i855] Karmic Koala Alpha 3 live CD give black screen
Hi, Stefan This issue is not related with the kernel. The issue can be reproduced regardless of whether KMS or UMS is used. In fact the main issue of this bug is that we can't get the fixed mode correclty for LVDS panel in case that there is no EDID for LVDS. So please focus on that no fixed mode is obtained for LVDS output device. Hi, Geir What you said is right. I hope that it is tested on the 2.6.31.2 instead of 2.6.31.3. The remaining issue is why we can add the mode like 1440x900*60. It is very interesting. [Bug 191871] Re: Live CD won't install on Acer Aspire 3050-1922
Hi, David From the 2.6.22.14 dmesg log it seems that there exists the following errors: >ACPI Error (psargs-0355): [\_SB_.PHSR] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND >ACPI Error (psparse-0551): Method parse/execution failed [\_SB_.PCI0.LPC0.EC0_._REG] (Node da0b05a0), AE_NOT_FOUND As the PHSR object doesn't exist, it causes that the EC _REG object can't be executed correclty.
