Thanks for reporting the bug. I tried opening the file with OO word processor...everything works fine with my OO. My config 7.10 gutsy OO - 2.3.0. Can you tell your config? did you try right clicking on your taskbar and selecting Add to panel , then it will give you the list of applications you want to add in your panel. One of the application should be recycle bin. [Bug 159862] quit menu does now show up
Public bug reported: I am using Ubuntu Feisty Feiro 7.04 for my desktop. While working today, my firefox was getting crashed . So I wanted to shut down my PC and restart it. So when I selected System-Quit menu , my taskbars(upper and lower) got vanished and the menu for logout/shut down/restart/hibernate/suspend/cancel does not show up. The desktop remained in that state. My taskbars also got vanished . But somehow i was able to use right click and get the terminal and then i used gnome-panel which brought back my taskbars(Upper and lower). To logout , I used system-monitor and killed the gnome-session. This is very annoying. Does anybody know what is wrong with the system? I had similar problem few weeks back..but re-installation of firefox worked and now i don't have any problem. The recent picture u added , the standard images are leftmost and rightmost...try using them.If u still face the problem, i guess then u missed something during upgrading.
