[Bug 511108] [NEW] Thunderbird freezes on creating folder/subfolder

2010-01-22 Thread zaza1851983
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: thunderbird

I use thunderbird for my gmail account with IMap. I installed ubuntu 9.10 from
scratch and imported a big amount of emails from the gmail server to my pc. In
that time I created some subfolders in inbox as well as some filters for the
different mailing lists.
The next day I try to create a new subfolder thunderbird freezes. I killed it
and restarted, same thing.

[Bug 500776] Re: eclipse crash on pango_layout_new+0x36

2010-01-19 Thread zaza1851983
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 445009 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/445009

please see
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1362942

It's due to the unstable version (2.22.3-0ubuntu1) of libglib2.0-0.
You can use Synaptic Package Manager to downgrade libglib2.0-0 and
libglib2.0-data to the previous version (2.22.2-0ubuntu1).
Mark the package you want to downgrade, and choose Force version ... from
Package on the main menu. Select the previous version and it is done.

[Bug 509575] [NEW] Eclipse does not startup

2010-01-19 Thread zaza1851983
Public bug reported:

I just had a clean install of 9.10,jdk and eclipse. Upon starting eclipse I got
the splash screen and nothing happens
I defined JAVA_HOME and GTK_IM_MODULE=
so I run strace -ff ./eclipse only to find that the startup goes in some kind
of infinite loop and never starts. The log of that command is attached to the
bug report. My settings are
ubuntu 9.10 64 up to date
java: java version 1.6.0_15
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_15-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.1-b02, mixed mode)
Eclipse: Galileo EE

I also downgraded libglib2 as adviced in other forums. (also tried it with the
upgraded version, same error).
I believe this to be a bug

Best regards

I solved the problem. The only thing remaining from the old system was
the old home partition. Now I created a new user and launched eclipse
from the new user and it worked fine. I still don't know what was that
all about anyway!

Is it Azeurus? I have had problems with my hardy laptop
 locking up
randomly when azeurus is running. I started
 using Deluge instead which
works for my and has a very similar interface to azeurus,
 but doesn't
 cause me trouble.

I'm almost certain, that this is this ubuntu related

[Bug 340126] Re: Ubuntu 8.10 amd64 freezes

Ok, so now I installed Debian lenny and tried to my best to keep the
packages installed similar and have been using it for sometime now and
it didn't freeze even once. But I still have no clue what caused the
freezing on ubuntu, too bad :(

[Bug 340126] Re: Ubuntu 8.10 amd64 freezes

2009-03-10 Thread zaza1851983
Thanks for the reply, I tried the memtest86+ test and it didn't find any
errors. One more observation, which is my pc freezed again today as soon
as I restarted azeurus, and upon restarting my pc then again azeurus, it
didn't freeze. I find these freezes very random actually and not related
to a certain action, so yes what you suggested about a hardware problem
is also a possibility.

The only thing I can think of right now, is to use debian Amd64 for the
next few days and see if I face the same freezing problem I'm facing
with ubuntu.

Again, thanks for your help

2008-10-15 Thread zaza1851983
Very good, that was stupidity on my side, but still interesting to notice that
this check box was by default unchecked.
And then of course, I still have the problem like everybody else, that is after
clearning the private data, nothing is removed, and no new history is added :)

Hmmm... something fishy going on. Adding the clear
 private data add-
on, selecting clear private data from the right-click menu,
 and the

[Bug 209794] Re: Firefox-3 does not clear private data

2008-07-23 Thread zaza1851983
It's very true. The history is like a closed box. The old addresses
since my firefox2 can not be deleted and at the same time, no new
addresses are being added (whether with 0 or 12). Also when I click
tools-clear private data, I don't get that dialogue at all. This is
really irritating.
