[Bug 553739] [NEW] Mouse Cursor changes from white to black
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I am using a custom mouse cursor, a black one and i noticed when i position my mouse at the panels or on the desktop, my cursor changes to white and when i am using firefox, (my cursor inside the window) will turn to black again. And interestingly, when i took a screenshot, the image shown in both scenario was black, so i guess this must be some error in display. [Bug 542918] Re: desktopcouch-service crashed with SIGSEGV in dbus_message_get_reply_serial()
This occurred to me when i installed kubuntu-desktop and then i decided to uninstall it from my laptop. After that i log out and re login and the error occurred. Installing some packages at that time too and open firefox. Pidgin wasn't working well too and i think it was the removing of the kde and reinstalling of my gnome-desktop that result in the error. Instruction i followed to uninstall kde. [Bug 534858] [NEW] Something broke my default opening of shellscript
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I made a shell script myself to generate some easy task, anyway when i double click it, it will say something that my The file '/home/patrick/main.sh' is not marked as executable. If this was downloaded or copied form an untrusted source, it may be dangerous to run. For more details, read about the executable bit. This was because of the script being automatically open by wine program loader which i didn't set anything. When i went into the right click-properties-open with, i saw that it was set to wine and when i press reset, it still goes back to wine. I think that is something that trigger the sh script to open with wine. This result in a open gedit loop when i double click the sh script and then press edit. Now i set it back from wine to gnome- terminal. working now. But i just report so the team may look into it. thanks. [Bug 524935] [NEW] notification applet does not show a thing when i add it to my applet
Public bug reported: At first they was the bluetooth icon and no wireless icon or sound icon. now it doesn't have the bt icon when i add it but the old one still exists. And another thing is that i noticed when i updated yesterday, it broke my system because i currently cannot use wireless even if it is on and i had wanted to use the applet to enable but i realize it is not there. Anyways how do i enable it manually ir is it broken. Have to connect to my modem directly to use internet to report bugs and update. I tried to boot into recovery mode and tried older kernels. Still stuck. Think is the official lucid update that broke it. [Bug 509924] [NEW] update manager showing Can't guess meta-package when doing upgrade
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager Can't guess meta-package Your system does not contain a ubuntu-desktop, kubuntu-desktop, xubuntu-desktop or edubuntu-desktop package and it was not possible to detect which version of Ubuntu you are running. Please install one of the packages above first using synaptic or apt-get before proceeding. When i click partial upgrade. This was shown followed by, Could not calculate the upgrade An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade: The package 'ubuntu-desktop' is marked for removal but it is in the removal blacklist. This can be caused by: * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu This is most likely a transient problem, please try again later So by any chance do i need to upload anything or did i do anything wrong. Please correct me. Thanks. [Bug 508248] [NEW] Screen flickers once in a while, not whole screen, one small stretch at bottom middle
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg just a small portion of a screen flickers as oppose to whole screen flcikers. Like suddenly a program is lauch and somewhat similar but then nothing happened. Happens at random timing, when i am using empathy, evolution and even my Firefox alpha. I think the problem is with the graphics drivers, i do not have a proper drivers for my laptop. When i went to hardware, no drivers is in use but when i am using the older karmic, no issues of this happened. If anything extra is needed, pls inform me. Thanks.
