Public bug reported:

Using the latest quantal mini.iso, ethdetect fails during preseeded net
installs. Kernel log shows:

bnx2: Can't load firmware file "bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1b.fw"

Since kernel 3.3, bnx2 driver apparently requires a new firmware file
which was committed to linux-firmware at

http://git2.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-
firmware.git;a=commit;h=9897fdba8c422615695af7be3a3d42db46d35620

This has been reported elsewhere,

Copying lib/firmware/3.4.0-3-generic/bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1a.fw to
lib/firmware/3.4.0-3-generic/bnx2/bnx2-mips-09-6.2.1b.fw and repacking
the initrd on the provisioning server seems to be a work around for the
time being.

** Affects: linux-firmware (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
