Dante, Go to: http://skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/linux/downloading.ubuntu32 and when the "Open with" dialog comes up, choose "Open with" then select Ubuntu Softeware Centre from the list. Let it download. If Software centre doesn't open after it's done, open it. Look up Skype and choose "install".
