Public bug reported: Checkout bash user manual at http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/bash.html#Searching
Gnome-terminal allow to use Alt+b shortcut to move one word back, but does not allow to use Alt+f shortcut to move one word forward. Gnome-terminal uses Alt+f shortcut as command to open the File menu. I know that Alt+letter convenient is a standard, but it definetly should allow to use standard bash shortcuts. ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1015778 Title: Gnome-terminal does not allow to use bash shortcut (M-f) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1015778/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
