[Bug 1019619] Re: fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0@1:0:1) found
Alright thanks. You may be able to find an error message for that new failure in the lightdm logs, or possibly in dmesg or Xorg.0.log. Good luck. ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019619 Title: fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0@1:0:1) found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1019619/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

If you purge and re-install fglrx, does it come up ok? ** Changed in: xorg (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1019619 Title: fglrx: No matching Device section for instance (BusID PCI:0@1:0:1) found To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1019619/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

But when I put in my username and password, the screen flashes to what appears to be a tty with boot messages on it, and then I get dropped back to the login screen. It seems to me that the problems has disappeared. (But a new problem has shown up that requires a different bug report.)
