Public bug reported: If I boot up my laptop with the wireless disabled, then enable it once the machine has booted, I can not see any APs or use the wireless unless I restart. Even if the wireless is enabled, it is a gamble as to whether not wireless will work. It seems to be very random as to whether or not it will decide to connect or not. At times it will see all available APs and try and connect, but then always popup with the password dialog box for the AP and regardless of what password you enter (correct or incorrect), it will never connect.
I have tried the instructions from this bug report [ https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/precise/+source/bcmwl/+bug/1002703 ] but still having the same issues.
