[Bug 1021069] Re: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth
Is this fix being backported to the mainline kernel for 12.04 (3.2)? Installing this kernel leaves me with broken nVidia drivers and Virtualbox modules. I don't want to compile everything myself and thus breaking the packagemanagement for future updates. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021069 Title: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1021069/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Also fixed it be updating the kernel. I'm experiencing the same issues with the normal 12.04 release after reinstalling it from scratch. X does not crash but the tablet doesn't do anything anymore. [Bug 1021069] Re: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth
Sorry about that, the tablet was low on battery! I charged it and it does not oops with 3.5rc5 - so it's fixed upstream - and it does oops with the Ubuntu kernel. Status and tag updated. ** Tags removed: needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: kernel-fixed-upstream ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021069 Title: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1021069/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1021069] Re: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth
I've installed kernel 3.5.0rc5, and it boots ... but I can't get the device to connect at all. But it doesn't oops. Is that a "fixed upstream" or not? The only evidence the system is trying is /var/log/syslog - lots of: Jul 6 21:59:20 fenris bluetoothd[643]: Discovery session 0xb7d4a3b0 with :1.16 activated Jul 6 21:59:40 fenris bluetoothd[643]: Stopping discovery Jul 6 21:59:53 fenris bluetoothd[643]: Host is down (112) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021069 Title: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1021069/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1021069] Re: Kernel oops connecting Wacom Graphire via Bluetooth
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.5kernel[0] (Not a kernel in the daily directory) and install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream-testing' tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags). This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream-testing' text. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
