[Bug 1022943] Re: localization
This was caused by bug 1048556 in Launchpad. While still not fixed, we've since added a workaround for Banshee in langpack-o-matic (the software that builds language packs) so that its translations can both be done in Launchpad and shipped in language packs as intended. ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Status: Invalid => Fix Committed ** Changed in: ubuntu-translations Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1022943 Title: localization To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/1022943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1022943] Re: localization
This bug was fixed in the package banshee - 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise2 --- banshee (2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise2) precise-proposed; urgency=low * [0993206] Disable X-Ubuntu-Use-Langpack. Translations for Banshee have not appeared in the language packs as of Ubuntu Precise, so disable this field so that the package retains its .mo files. [Bug 1022943] Re: localization
Hello Андрей, or anyone else affected, Accepted banshee into precise-proposed. The package will build now and be available at http://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please change the bug tag from verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not, change the tag to verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us make a better decision. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . [Bug 1022943] Re: localization
** Description changed: There's no Russian localization in 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise1... No changes in interface, though. Must be easy to solve, I think. Had to lock version 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~hyper1+precise with Synaptic, it's okay. + + [IMPACT] + Users of non-English locales would see their Banshee interface in English rather than localized to their locale. + + This is a regression introduced in 2.4.1-3ubuntu1~precise1 due to the + introduction of the "X-Ubuntu-Use-Langpack: yes" flag in debian/control. + + [TESTCASE] + 1. Switch to a non-English locale that was previously supported by Banshee, e.g. German or Russian. + 2. Start Banshee + 3. Observe the language of the interface + + [REGRESSION POTENTIAL] + Unlikely. This change merely reintroduces the .mo files that were stripped by pkgbinarymangler. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1022943 Title: localization To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/1022943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
