Public bug reported: I just upgraded from 10.04 to 12.04. Wine was busted and refusing to install for a bit, I think I finally got it to install with the wine1.4 package. At any rate, I have wine and wine1.4 installed, and sound was refusing to work. After a bit of googling I resolved it with this:
sudo apt-get install lib32asound2 So I think that dependency needs to be fixed.
