Raphaël Jakse, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Found a workaround: Replaced the window manager xfce4wm by metacity. This works! The problem must be xfce4-wm, as other applications do take touches. However, I can't seem to touch the content of a website in firefox either. After clicking once with the mouse I am able to click anywhere on the website, but other GUI elements do not respond any more. This bug is still there in Kubuntu 13.04. Installing Xorg from the Debian repository as a workaround still works and multitouch is still lost. After playing with xfce, I found it affected by the Bug. The desktop + everything in the panels that is not a launcher or an icon in the tray doesn't respond anymore to taps (mouse still works).
