The inputrc one is definitely an issue. Just my 2 cents... After migrating from Gentoo, I must say that this has been a major annoyance. I agree, especially about show-all-if-ambiguous. It makes a huge improvement to the usability of tab-completion, and it dramatically reduces irrelevant beeping.
