Public bug reported:

I discovered the baobab error after the other error started.

I report this on a netbook, since my desktop computer is unusable right
now due to constant 'full disk' stuff.

I don't know why the hard disk is seemingly full. Until yesterday, it
was much less than 50% full, and I have not saved any files to it.

Several times when I have received the error message about disk space, I
have chosen 'Analyze' or whatever the option was.

I then get the Disk Usage Analyser screen. I can't remember what the
default view was.

In any case, if I select 'Analyser' --> 'Scan Filesystem' it doesn't
come up with anything useful. I wish I could send a screenshot.

I can see the following:
1. Total filesystem capacity: 77.7 GB
2. (used: 77.6 GB available : 146.7 GB)
but at the top level, the '/' folder has Size 9.2 GB.

Where is the other 68.4 GB of stuff hiding?

PS my home folder including all hidden files and folders is 2.7 GB.
