I am experiencing this problem with a system newly upgraded from Feisty to Hardy. Steps to reproduce: * Launch kcontrol or System Settings * Select Appearance - GTK Styles and Fonts * Either select Use another style in GTK Styles or Use another font in GTK Fonts. * Click Apply * Close kcontrol or System Settings. * Repeat the first two steps. Settings have reverted to their previous states. I can't say if this was already a problem with Feisty as I didn't have cause to do this before upgrading. The only output I get in .xsession-errors is: adding Colours /usr/share/applications/kde/colors.desktop adding Fonts /usr/share/applications/kde/fonts.desktop adding Font Installer /usr/share/applications/kde/kcmfontinst.desktop adding Icons /usr/share/applications/kde/icons.desktop adding Style /usr/share/applications/kde/style.desktop adding Window Decorations /usr/share/applications/kde/kwindecoration.desktop adding GTK Styles and Fonts /usr/share/applications/kcmgtk.desktop systemsettings: WARNING: KLocale: trying to look up in catalog. I am unable to reproduce this with Hardy right now. Are you still experiencing this problem? If so, anything else I can try to reproduce this issue? Are you also using Gnome side-by-side with KDE? And you only notice this in MatLab?
