i am currently running an upgraded Ubuntu 12.10 / Unity 6.8.0-0ubuntu1.
a few weeks ago i noticed that the items on the launcher had become
interchangeable (as supposed to 12.04). since a couple of daily updates,
the items cannot be interchanged anymore. the launcher behaves exactly
as in 12.04. reinstalling unity has not helped.
+ under very special circumstances however, items can be moved around. if
+ for example, on the launcher, i open app1 and app3 (or app4/app6 /
+ app6/app8 ...), the icon in between can be moved once, to any position
+ on the launcher. no matter if i leave the icon in place or move it to
+ another position, the launcher locks up again afterwards. this works
+ with all apps in the launcher, so it's actually possible to move any
