[Bug 106528] Enabling Desktop effects causes Konversation to display Server List window

2007-09-12 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

When Desktop effects are enabled and Konversation is launched, the
Konversation Server List window appears as well.

The buttons on the Server List window are grayed-out and except for the
first button, the other buttons fail to work. Also, pressing X to
close it doesn't work either. The Server List Window can be moved but
clicking on the KDE icon (from the top left of the Server List window)
and choosing close doesn't work.

Also while Desktop effects are in use, Konversation often cannot be
selected from the Desktop and only by using Alt-Tab, can Konversation be
selected.

Please note that:

1) If Desktop Effects are enabled AFTER Konversation has been launched,
this problem doesn't occur.

2) Disabling GL Desktop has no effect on this issue.

3) Konversation remains usable when this problem occurs.

Attached is a screenshot of this issue.
