Koopee, as per http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_ZENBOOK_UX32VD/#support_Download_8 an update is available for your BIOS (214). If you update to this, does it change anything? If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: kernel-therm needs-upstream-testing regression-potential ** Tags added: bios-outdated-214 ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1076094 Title: Computer turned off without a reason. [Bug 1076094] Re: Computer turned off without a reason. Power went out.
I'll see if the problem reappears. Currently I have no clue how to reproduce. The computer just came out of the standby, i opened a terminal, started typing and wham. It was in a middle of a command - I did not even hit enter. I have had plenty of kernel freezes with this computer & 12.04 ubuntu, but not before a complete poweroff. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1076094 Title: Computer turned off without a reason.
