Public bug reported: Sometime in the past month or so this started happening on raring. Now and then the fan on this netbook would kick into high gear for no apparent reason, and often stay that way till I rebooted. Although top doesn't show anything useful, powertop shows that the audio codec is using 100% CPU (see attached screenshot).
