[Bug 111375] Re: No powernow support on Athlon 64 3800+
Re-assigning from powernowd to linux-source-2.6.15 (the Dapper kernel where it has been reported for initially). Can you please test, if this is fixed for Gutsy? ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.15 (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: powernowd = linux-source-2.6.15 Importance: Undecided = Medium Assignee: (unassigned) = dAniel hAhler (blueyed) Status: New = Incomplete ** Bug watch added: Linux Kernel Bug Tracker #8423 http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8423 ** Also affects: linux via http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8423 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- No powernow support on Athlon 64 3800+ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 111375] Re: No powernow support on Athlon 64 3800+
Just to push it again: Same problem for me. Any chance to see a fix in the near future? I just updated my mainboards BIOS (the update contained a patch for this processors support), but still Ubuntu (Feisty) recognizes only one core and powernow_k8 does not load (Processor cpuid 70ff1 not supported as quoted in post #1 of this thread). Not sure whether the patch made it into upstream yet - but I also don't know if there's any reason we have to wait for that provided the patch works as expected (and doesn't break something else ;) -- No powernow support on Athlon 64 3800+ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Do we know what kernel(s) if any in Ubuntu's repositories have this patch included? -- No powernow support on Athlon 64 3800+ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111375 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
