Public bug reported: I've had 2 severe crashes today with a fresh install of 12.04. The machine has 6x2 tb in Raid5 (dm_raid45) and 3x1.5 tb JBOD on a JMicron Sata-controller.. The crashes occur when writing large amounts of data to the RAID-array, have not seen it on the JMicron controller..
Tried disabling ACPI, did resolve anything (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/550559) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: linux-image-3.2.0-29-generic 3.2.0-29.46 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-29.46-generic 3.2.24 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-29-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx AcpiTables: AlsaVersion: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.24.
