Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
I booted an amd64 CD for Feisty and tried to set my /home partition to be on /dev/md0. Here's what happened: $ sudo -i # aptitude install mdadm # mdadm -C /dev/md0 -l 0 -n 2 /dev/sda3 /dev/sdb3 # mkfs.reiser /dev/md0 Now run installer. You will notice that when choosing to MANUALLY EDIT the file system, /dev/md0 is not shown. Therefore, I cannot set /dev/md0 to be be my /home device. So, Ubiquity should support mdadm devices... ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- ubiquity does not scan for software RAID (mdadm) devices like /dev/md0 during installation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112444 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
