[Bug 1129021] Re: Couldn't Connect to Cloud Service

2015-09-29 Thread Dave Steele
Chris, the firmware problem workaround is to remove 'epson' from the
printer name.

To everyone else, 0.14 is in sid.

[Bug 1129021] Re: Couldn't Connect to Cloud Service

2015-05-13 Thread Chris Williams
Worked out how to do the install. Still no change says printer needs a
firmware update and wont print.

Think it would be easier just to buy a wireless print server. All I want
to do is to print to a printer on my Ubuntu desktop from my Windows 7
PC. And no, Samba does not want to play ball.

Chris.

Decided to real kick some Samba ass and now after adding some firewall
rules (Not mentioned in the documentation) it works, so I don't need
cloudprint anymore.

I Have done the

 bzr branch lp:ubuntu/cloudprint

and have a directory with all the files in it.

Where do I put these files and how do I install them? I have read the

Verified on 14.04.2 LTS server.
Fresh checkout from the Bazaar works just fine so it's a good candidate.

[Bug 1129021] Re: Couldn't Connect to Cloud Service

2014-10-29 Thread Shaun Husain
Just wanted to say I grabbed the latest source from the vivid section in
the link provided by pwebster and was able to run the cloudprint.py file
in

cloudprint/cloudprint/cloudprint.py

after downloading using the following command

bzr branch lp:ubuntu/cloudprint

I'm on Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.1 LTS

Since I had previously installed cloudprint from the repositories and
had removed it but not purged it I had to use ./cloudprint.py -l first
to logout then re ran it and it again asked for my google credentials
then worked after that. Thanks to whoever is working on this project it
made the process relatively painless.

When you said the latest version, did you mean the latest "mature"
version (2013-10-19) or the latest "development" version (2014-06-22)? I
found it at: https://code.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cloudprint

Jymbob, where did you get that latest version from github? Is it a deb
package or do we need to do something special to compile it?

Latest version checked out from github appears to fix both the initial
issue and ibeardslee's subsequent problem.

How do we go about repackaging this and getting it updated in the
repositories?

2013-04-08 Thread Ian Beardslee
I tried this .. https://github.com/armooo/cloudprint/issues/20 The
changes I needed to make were on lines 200 + 213.

Now getting "ERROR Cloud Print test page" where "Cloud Print test page"
is the name of the document that is now left in a state of "Error"
rather than "Queued"

This appears to be the same version that is in Ubuntu Quantal 12.10.
Getting the same problems.

The same version seems to exist in Raring (Beta) 13.04.
