[Bug 1162151] Re: [q35] False GPU lockup EIR: 0x00000010 PGTBL_ER: 0x00000002 -- invalid PTE for host access
Jvan Ferrari, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-intel REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1162151] Re: [q35] False GPU lockup EIR: 0x00000010 PGTBL_ER: 0x00000002 -- invalid PTE for host access
I'm seeing this error and crash in my freshly booted Lenovo T400, xubuntu 13.04. I recognize it as the flash videos become choppy at large sizes and VLC can't play any video (black video window) with its default Video Acceleration (overlay) enabled. If I disable this, it plays but again very slowly. In my dmesg output, I see the following when this happens: [ 267.474655] [drm] capturing error event; look for more information in /debug/dri/0/i915_error_state [ 267.478635] i915: render error detected, EIR: 0x0010 [ 267.478639] i915: IPEIR: 0x [ 267.478641] i915: IPEHR: 0x6904 [ 267.478643] i915: INSTDONE_0: 0x [ 267.478645] i915: INSTDONE_1: 0xbebb [ 267.478646] i915: INSTDONE_2: 0x [ 267.478647] i915: INSTDONE_3: 0x [ 267.478647] i915: INSTPS: 0x8001e025 [ 267.478647] i915: ACTHD: 0x015c8044 [ 267.478647] i915: page table error [ 267.478647] i915: PGTBL_ER: 0x0001 [ 267.478647] [drm:i915_report_and_clear_eir] *ERROR* EIR stuck: 0x0010, masking Thanks. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1162151 Title: [q35] False GPU lockup EIR: 0x0010 PGTBL_ER: 0x0002 -- invalid PTE for host access To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1162151/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
