Public bug reported: I've noticed in 13.04 sometimes indicator-messages has the offline status selected on a fresh boot, and stays that way after I open empathy and empathy goes online/available. If I open the indicator and select "available" nothing happens and "offline" stays selected. If I select away it correctly changes status both in the indicator and in empathy, and then I can select available which changes it correctly in empathy and the indicator. I'm not sure if this is an indicator-messages bug or an empathy bug.
