Re: [Bug 1172371] Re: Dell Inspiron 9300 kernel panic
On the weekend I can put an install of Ubuntu back on it - running Crunchbang right now and it's not my main laptop. It does have the current BIOS on it (A05) and I've got several pictures of the kernel panics I've had on it that I took with my phone, if you're interested. [Bug 1172371] Re: Dell Inspiron 9300 kernel panic
Charles Ford, as per http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails?driverId=VCHGJ an update is available for your BIOS (A05). If you update to this, does it change anything? If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-a05 needs-upstream-testing regression- potential ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1172371 Title: Dell Inspiron 9300 kernel panic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1172371/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
