[Bug 1182727] Re: computer crash (on web page, firefox?)
What are the risks of using this fresh kernel? I want to help but I am not very eager to play with fresh kernels. Since yesterday I noticed several times the image rendering issue (see enclosed), but no crash. I have a doubt now: I am not sure. There was an update a few days ago. It needed a reboot, but I had some work ongoing. I am not sure that I actually rebooted since. Could this have been related if I did not rebooted after the update? On another hand I got the crash two times in a row, so there was a reboot in between. Does it make any sense? ** Attachment added: "image rendering issue (the image exists and is not corrupted)" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1182727/+attachment/3684939/+files/Screenshot.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1182727 Title: computer crash(on web page, firefox?) [Bug 1182727] Re: computer crash (on web page, firefox?)
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.10 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
