HEY, I JUST FOUND A SOLUTION I just found a solution which resolved my own problem, but still wish to report this bug: A serious warning appeared on the top menu, which lead to solution: Fail to update may be bad connection OR on Software Updates tick (selected) a source that is no longer supported. So, the bug is this: The message from Software Updater reads bad connection but does not give the second alternative or Software Updates So, I tried one-by-one, the Software Updates line that caused the stop was: Installable from CD-ROM/DVD, Cdrom with Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail Restricted copyright.
