[Bug 1188965] Re: [hp mini 210-1000] touchpad "jump" when try to select element

2013-11-02 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Stefano Statuti, the touchpad debug page was out of date as all the bugs
listed were "Fix Released" ages ago. I've updated that.

Despite this, would the b43 wifi driver WORKAROUND the issue with the
WiFi crashing/not working so you could make a less painful upstream
test?

upstream to help you with your problem. You would want to resubmit this
using the formatting previously advised to you in

If reproducible, you can just make one comment, no need to apport-

** Description changed:

  hi,

i have this problem from 12.04 to 13.04

i can reproduce all the problems :
  1) if i click on left button and try to select (using 2 different fingers)
some element (like word in a website) the icon of mouse have a strange
comportament, "jump".
  mouse is this http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02241565.pdf page n° 14
if i try to put my finger into touchpad on "Left touchpad button" (or Right
touchpad button) and try to scroll my finger over the button the mouse's
pointer moves, instead it should not!

  2) in this mouse there are a led (TouchPad on/off button) but NOT work. From
manual I have this description : "Turns the TouchPad
on and off. Quickly double-tap the button to turn the TouchPad on and off."

pointer moves, instead it should not!

  2) in this mouse there are a led (TouchPad on/off button) but NOT work. From

[Bug 1188965] Re: [hp mini 210-1000] touchpad "jump" when try to select element

2013-08-28 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Stefano Statuti, the problem we are only talking about in this report is as per
the Bug Summary:
touchpad "jump" when try to select element

For any others (WiFi, keyboard, etc.) please file one report per problem via a
terminal:
ubuntu-bug linux

Regarding the touchpad, it would helpful if you report the results of
testing releases prior to Precise.

[Bug 1188965] Re: [hp mini 210-1000] touchpad "jump" when try to select element

2013-08-25 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Stefano Statuti, could you please confirm this issue exists with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ . If the issue remains,
could you please run the following command in the development release
from a Terminal (Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will
automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this
report:

apport-collect -p linux

Also, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional
upstream developers to examine the issue. Please do not test the daily folder,
but the one all the way at the bottom. Once you've tested the upstream kernel,
please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is
fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For
example:
kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.11-rc5

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next
to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please
remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
kernel-bug-exists-upstream
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

As well, please remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's
Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your
understanding.

Stefano Statuti, thank you for providing the requested information. As
per

an update is available for your BIOS (F.24). If you update to this, does
it change anything?

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of
the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

Thank you for your understanding.

[Bug 1188965] Re: [hp mini 210-1000] touchpad "jump" when try to select element

2013-06-10 Thread Joseph Salisbury
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v3.10 kernel[0].

If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.

If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot,
please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".

Thanks in advance.
