[Bug 1191510] Re: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise
It worked in Precise with internal Broadcom card. I didn't check the Atheros stick. In Raring neither of both works correctly. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191510 Title: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1191510/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1191510] Re: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise
I tried ubuntu-12.04.2-desktop-amd64.iso from usb. [Bug 1191510] Re: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise
I can't really tell, because I didn't use this particular notebook with 12.10 inside my University. Before, I had a different notebook and it worked fine with all versions up to 12.10 (concerning wifi). (Then it broke and I had to replace it.) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191510 Title: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1191510/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

I already run the latest BIOS: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date A17 03/07/2013 I updated the BIOS directly after installing Ubuntu (because of other problems I had), so I can't tell if the Wifi problem was existent in previous BIOS versions.
Martin Schröder, as per http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/Product/latitude-e6520 an update is available for your BIOS (A17). If you update to this, does it change anything? If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command: sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: bios-outdated-a17 ** Tags removed: kernel-bug-exists-upstream ** Tags added: kernel-bug-exists-upstream-v3.10-rc6 needs-upstream-testing ** Tags added: regression-potential ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191510 Title: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1191510/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1191510] Re: Wifi disconnects every 10 seconds in WPA/WPA2 enterprise
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.10 kernel[0]. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag: 'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'. If you are unable to test the mainline kernel, for example it will not boot, please add the tag: 'kernel-unable-to-test-upstream'. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as "Confirmed". Thanks in advance.
