[Bug 119647] Re: gnome-commander won't run programs in the terminal

2008-03-20 Thread epiotr
The reported problem was fixed in the latest release (1.2.5). The
solution is not to use gnome-terminal for SHIFT+ENTER. Please set
options|programs|terminal to:

xterm -hold -e %s

BTW, SHIFT+ENTER executes command in launched terminal and leaves it
open allowing to see the output.

If you want to be able type in the terminal just use the function 'Open
terminal here' accessible from the toolbar, RMB (popup) menu or via
user-defined shortcut (assign user action 'command.open_terminal' in
GNOME Commander config file - for details please refer to the manual)

2008-03-19 Thread Christophe Sauthier (huats)
Problem still remains in the current hardy version (1.2.5-1) but the
error message There was an error creating the child process for this
terminal does not appear. Instead the a blank terminal is launch but it
is impossible to type in

Problem still remains with Feisty Fawn (Gnome Commander 1.2.4). For me
it works only with:

gnome-terminal

Confirm - problem remains on the fresh gutsy installation.
gnome-terminal -e ls executed from the command prompt works.

Setting options|programs|terminal to
gnome-terminal -e bash -c %s
seems to fix problem.
