Binary package hint: totem

Totem Movie Player using GStreamer 0.10.12 and GNOME. Playback of MP3s 
interrupted by gaps of silence, only a few milliseconds  but it ruins listening 
experience.   Problem usually disappears after first  minute or two of playback 
in each track.
Running Ubuntu 7.04 on Dell Dimension 5150 Duo core 2.66 MHz 1GB memory
