However, openoffice.org2-amd64 is a package created specificly for amd64 architecture, and no longer exists in the most recent releases (doesn't exists in 7.04 feisty, for example). Also, there was never a 2.2 version of openoffice.org2-amd64. Which architecture are you using, i386 or amd64? Which release of Ubuntu are you using, 7.04? I can confirm the symptoms as described when trying to insert the testcase image in openoffice writer, the exact error message is Graphics filter not found. Kubuntu feisty, ooo 2.2.0-1ubuntu3 (32 bit install on amd64 hardware). The testcase jpg file looks very different when opened in various programs; konqueror, kview, gwenview, kuickshow all show the same fairly empty and basic image while gqview, gimp, claws-mail etc show a much more elaborate and differently colored image (identical to the attached working file saved in the gimp). Note that all apps that fail to show the image properly are kde based, so this might be some image library problem.
